July’s New Openings

Raising Cane’s opened eight restaurants in July across five new locations and three remodels. The headline news: three states got their first-ever Raising Cane’s this month.

Johnson City, Tennessee opened July 7. Jacksonville, North Carolina followed on July 13. Albany, Georgia rounded out the trio on July 21, marking the state’s debut location. Beyond those three firsts, Raising Cane’s also opened a new restaurant in Schererville, Indiana on July 6, along with a Los Angeles location whose exact opening date wasn’t announced in advance.

On top of the new builds, three existing restaurants got remodels and reopened this month. Edmond, Oklahoma reopened July 13. Fort Collins, Colorado followed on July 17. Las Vegas, Nevada wrapped up the remodel run on July 20.

August Brings Even More Expansion

Raising Cane’s isn’t slowing down. The chain confirmed seven more locations across six states for August, including markets it hasn’t reached before.

Wisconsin and Maryland are both among the states getting a new location this round, alongside Florida. The chain also announced its first restaurant near Long Beach, California, continuing its pattern of pushing into new West Coast markets even in areas where it already has a presence nearby.

Why Raising Cane’s Keeps Growing This Fast

The short menu is part of the story. Raising Cane’s sticks to chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, and its well-known dipping sauce, and that simplicity has let the chain scale quickly without the complexity a bigger menu would add. The company opened around 100 new restaurants in 2025 and is targeting roughly 100 more in 2026, putting it on pace to approach 1,000 total locations by the end of the year.

Raising Cane’s operates company-owned restaurants rather than franchising, which is actually part of why it can expand this fast while keeping the menu and experience consistent from one new city to the next.

Is Raising Cane’s Coming to Your State?

With locations landing in Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, California, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Florida just in the last two months, the chain’s map keeps filling in gaps rather than sticking to its original Southern footprint. If your state hasn’t gotten one yet, based on this pace, it’s increasingly a question of when, not if.
